This is a very popular fish and chip shop in Lanchester. They cook with dripping, the old fashioned way, but my tummy can’t handle that.

Shoes issued to students who didn’t come to school in the correct uniform. Any part of the uniform can be borrowed for the day. The shoes on the left obviously weren’t treated with respect.

A leaf strewn path on our very windy walk this morning.

Heavy clouds looming over the road on my way to work, and they brought rain and heavy winds.

This little chap was making his way across a pavement and then onto a road, so I waited for him to slither onto my leaf and took him over to a nice hedge with lots of undergrowth. Cool and damp for him!

​A cygnet decided a spot of bullying was required as our walking group looked on.

​I missed never seeing a proper greengrocer when I lived in America. This is a lovely one in Stanhope.

​I really like this job I’m covering at the moment. More chocolate brought to my desk, that’s twice in a week!

​Had a lovely meal with Peter tonight yet forgot to take a photo. But this was my pudding when I got home. With a big mug of tea.
