27 Feb 2018

A neighbor’s front garden is carpeted with snowdrops. I’ll have some planted for next year.

Tuesday, February 26, 2019

A magnificent sunrise in the way to work and part of  an insignificant acrylic painting I did this evening.

Monday, February 25, 2019

Love this old vintage car in a field at Cox Farms that I pass on my way to work.

Sunday, February 24, 2019

Cycled around the town today and found this house. Loved its intricate woodwork and paint job.

Saturday, February 23, 2019

Saw this looming over me in an antique store. It gave me quite a scare.

Friday, February 22, 2019

Interesting and a little freaky cloud formation on the way to work this morning.

Thursday, February 21, 2019

My finished painting. I’m OK with it but know I can do better. The course was a great lesson in learning the feel of oil paints and the process used. Looking forward to doing my own thing now.

Wednesday, February 20, 2019

I was fascinated to notice that as the snow was beginning to melt on my deck, the snowflake structure had broken down and formed round droplets. Zoom in to see.

Tuesday, February 19, 2019

I had dinner with a friend in town at Blue Wing Frog where they had the largest picnic table I’d ever seen. The food and staff were wonderful, and only a short walk from my house.

18 Feb 2019

Every Marmite lover has this moment, when you’re at the end of the jar but persist in scraping every inner surface to ensure no sliver of yummy goodness is left behind.

Sunday, February 17, 2019

Finally got around to checking out the other book store in Front Royal, and this one is my favorite. Reasonably priced, extremely friendly father and son team, and lots of audio books that I’ll be checking out. I left with an armful of books to read so all set for a while.

16 Feb 2019

5 minutes before the start of a local polar plunge. Posing for a final ‘dry’ shot.

15 Feb 2019

A late night at work. We’ve had a lot of weeks ending well lately so we were due a Friday that went down the pan and this was it. But at least it’s Saturday the next day.

Thursday, February 14, 2019

A great Valentine’s Day message from Linden fire station. But I don’t know who the flag was flown at half mast for...

Wednesday, February 13, 2019

Tricksie Treat Grumbalina looking expectantly for treats. She is continuously hungry.

Tuesday, February 12, 2019

Just rainy and dull in NoVA but approaching FroRo on the way home was a different story. Fog and ice covered landscapes welcomed me as I got close to home.

Monday, February 11, 2019

My glass of wine’s reflection on my laptop caught my eye. The photo looks like 2 separate images.

Sunday, February 10, 2019

A very cold hike today to Kennedy’s Peak, but the view was worth it.

Friday, February 8, 2019

Sampling a beer given to me by Emily. A nice stout but not as good as my local brewery’s nitro stout. Nevertheless it’s going down well!

Thursday, February 7, 2019

It looks eerie from my driveway before 6:00am with a thick fog resting on the town.

Wednesday, February 6, 2019

This little lady is a bell but I always remember her being a doorstop in Nan and Grandad’s house when I was a child. I used to love the sound of her tinkling when the door was knocked against. I love it even more that she now keeps a door open in my house. And every now and then I lift her up to hear her bell.

Tuesday, February 5, 2019

I visited Natty and her pups this evening. They’ve grown and Natty has been exhausted but extremely well cared for by Cora. She had a nap with her babies while we watched.

Monday, February 4, 2019

At a plant workshop I attended I learned my cacti needed more direct light. Plus I was given a spider plant along with tradescantia and sansevieria cuttings, so they’re now by the window too. Let’s hope for some healthy growth.

3 Feb 2019

Leaving DC and looking forward to living the small town life again.

Saturday, February 2, 2019

A fun evening of tasting Russian beers. Richard trying to take photos while Margie erupts with laughter.

Friday, February 1, 2019

Had a little problem trying to see the rear view camera with this huge icicle hanging in the middle.
