The Plains have their pumpkin scarecrows decorating their village again, and it love this display outside the new cycle shop.

Such a fiery sunrise this morning that some people were saying because there was so much red and gold that it had to be a salute to the Redskins for thrashing the Cowboys in Dallas last night.

Janice and I tried zip lining today at a local park. 8 lines, 2 rope bridges and finished up rappelling to the ground. An awesome day!

Immensely enjoyed Tim's annual Oyster Fest, raised by him on his own oyster farm and picked fresh this morning. Delicious, and wonderful to catch up with old friends.

 A pretty  cart outside a new local store in Aldie that sells fresh veggies and other local produce. I wanted some vegetables for dinner but wasn't too keen on their way of selling. You were given a small bag or an even smaller one, and could fill them up with veggies for $18 or $9. I got 2 small heads of broccoli, 2 large radishes and a small red onion for $9. They better be delicious at that price!

Been so busy lately, working day and night, that I forgot about these flowers. I guess they've been dead a while...

My cardinal is well camouflaged against my burning bush which in another few days will be completely red.

A really cool garage in Alexandria that we walked past. The owner was happy for us to nose in and I wondered if the rest of his house is as interesting.

Found this buck skull while exploring today. It's currently on my patio until I can find a cool place for it to be displayed. Not sure if I want it indoors or not, might freak out the cats...

Billy brought in a group of his softball team to work this morning. They were a rowdy but funny bunch. This one walked past me, exclaiming with a straight face, "I get all the boys."  I couldn't stop laughing!

Stuart got a nice bath and polish today. The interior was also spruced up and he smelled like a new car.

Getting stuck behind a tractor is just one of the things you have to put up with, but the guy in front of me was a little impatient. Although I did chuckle when I finally got to pass the tractor myself and looking up into the cab saw an elderly guy driving slowly while chatting away on his cell phone. So I guess we're all guilty of that!

Stocked up on my favorite tea today. I absolutely adore the packaging, excellent marketing tool.

I often drive by this cute little house, and now it's up for sale. If I win the lottery at the weekend I'll buy it.

Preparing for a bokeh instruction class I was giving at our camera club tonight.

Stuck at the rail road tracks with rain pelting down. The train didn't move forc10 minutes so I had to turn around and find another way home.

Went to the printers today to proof the first print. Pretty cool to watch 28,000 cards with my artwork on coming off the press. These are for a local government company.

Never seen the Post Office notice board so empty.
