A couple of young deers wanting entry to the cemetery, but they’re too early at 6:15am. The gates open at 7am. They wandered off down the road after waiting a few minutes.

A day of painting. Finished the camper, the water butt and 3 chairs. These are 2 retro chairs that I picked up for $25! They need another coat, and then that table will get painted too.

A bakery local to work has these attractive cookies, but using food colorings that are banned in Europe, that could exacerbate attentional issues in children. But they make a superb sandwich and cakes.

I love this little mouse I found at a garden center last year. He was hidden under plant leaves in the garden during the summer, but this year he deserves to be seen.

I saw this huge rabbit at the garden center, on the way home, and was scratching my head, wondering what it meant. Then I found out that today is Peace Officers Memorial Day. I’d never heard of that until today.

Driving into the early morning sun as I take Stanley back to Hyundai, with starting issues. They found nothing wrong, but somehow the issue had been resolved, and at no charge. Works for me!

The irises are beginning to bloom. Still some other colors to pop out, but the neighbors have begun their compliments as they drive by!

Up until a couple of years ago, I would occasionally take this back road, loving it, because it was a little known unpaved lane, with potholes, that people didn’t know about. But today I drove down it, finding it was recently paved, and unable to dawdle, because I soon had 3 other cars behind me, wanting to rush through. So sad that it’s now become a morning racetrack, and I feel bad for the residents, having lost their peace.

I painted one side of the camper last night and today. Just need to use a fine brush around the window to finish this side. I had to get this done so I could lean the ladder against it as the sweet peas are ready to climb upwards. These were winter sown sweet peas so I don’t have to worry about any chilly nights, they’re hardy, and will be fine.

Up at dark o’clock this morning to watch my King’s Coronation and pledge my allegiance. What a phenomenal and joyous ceremony. I sat with a big pot of Yorkshire loose leaf tea and loved seeing so much British patriotism. A wonderful morning.
