I might be impressed with the camera in low light on the new iPhone 6 but Kota evidently isn't?

Finally got around to cleaning the little bottle I found in a pile of rubble at the distillery in PA.

We're printing a series of shirts featuring famous hair stylists and as I walked through production I saw this screen waiting to be cleaned. It was the screen for white ink and had the previous color black ghosting on the back. I loved the effect. The red is the emulsion.

A very sad story to this box. The little league have a 10 year old player who lost both of his parents in 1 week. His father had a fatal accident on the Monday and his mother died of a heart attack on the Wednesday. Billy at work was sewing patches on the players' shirts.

My chiropractor has lots of cute ornaments in his office.

Oh yum! Dinner tonight was this. Red onion, turnip, brocolli, potato, carrot, beetroot and my favorite parsnip, all brushed with organic sunflower oil with plenty of herbs. Delicious!

So pleased that Wasabi Gibger won the new flavor of 2014. I loved these. The Mango Salsa was also nice but I hated the Bacon Mac Cheese and didn't even bother trying the Cappuccino, yuk!

Margie and I were at the Czech Embassy in DC this evening listening to Jinhye Jo who escaped from North Korea in '98 when she was 10 after being sent to labor camps 4 times and then managing to reach China. She is in the far left and sitting next to her is David Hawk, a founding board member of Human Rights Watch/Asia and a former Executive Director of Amnesty International USA. Her mother is seated front far right. Her father, grandmother and several siblings all perished from hunger.

One of the many birds enjoying food on my patio in the snow. This female cardinal struck a sweet pose.

Rte 66 was very slippery on the way home. I was glad to get to the top of my hill and get indoors, the snow was coming down hard and it is cold!!

Sunday, February 15, 2015

Such a cold day and not one to be spent outside, so Meliny and I decided to go underground at the Shenandoah Caverns and adjoining attractions.

When I drove through Main St in Marshall today many of the lamp posts had scarves, some with hats, tied to them. They all had a card with this message, 'May you wear this scarf to comfort you and keep you warm as you face the future - a future we hope will bring you security and happiness. Sharing God's Love, Your neighbors at Marshall UMC.'  How lovely! I took the gold scarf.

I'm pretty happy with my camera set up. It's not too heavy and means I can move about and in and out of buildings with more ease and accessibility to my gear. Only need a couple of more items and I should be complete!

Wednesday, February 11, 2015

Brand new camera and lens plus new waist pack and accessories. Roll on the weekend!

Tuesday, February 10, 2015

My first package arrived at work today and I'm really excited to get the rest. I've waited a while for this serious upgrade.

Monday, February 9, 2015

Kevin is building quite a sizeable collection of used drinkware on his desk, bringing cups and mugs in but never taking them home.

Sunday, February 8, 2015

Took some books to the Little Free Library we have locally and pulled out one for me to read.

Saturday, February 7, 2015

Enjoying a whisky chaser with Steve after fixing the battery on his parents' car.

Friday, February 6, 2015

Immediately after rolling around and covering herself in birdseed Miss Rosie Lee thought it would be fine to come indoors. Not. A good brush was in order first!

Thursday, February 5, 2015

While I was in England Mum gave me this bus, an exact replica of the ones we used to catch to get to school in Maidstone. Only 3000 have been made of this model, what a treasure!

Wednesday, February 4, 2015

Been a great day today. Saw one of my photos on an e-mail bulletin, had a friend post a photo on Facebook of some photos I sent her last year that she's now framed, and then the first website I built went live today. And got some more freelance work. Happy happy!

Tuesday, February 3, 2015

As the day dawned on the way to work this morning, I sat in line and watched as the sun painted the tops of the trees a burning gold.

Monday, February 2, 2015

I didn't waste my time watching the Super Bowl yesterday but I did watch 3 or 4 of the adverts today so it was pretty cool in walk into the supermarket in Marshall this evening and see the Budweiser Clydesdale and puppy as I rounded the corner.

A pretty little outcrop near Marshall with a powdering of snow.
