Marty, the spill spotter, at our local grocery store is obviously in an Easter mood.

We started our first wildlife fence today. It needs to be topped up with brush and will provide sanctuary for insects and small critters.

The rain suddenly pelted down while Elliott and I were on our country drive, but it just made the scenery more beautiful.

How wonderful to have a gardening partner. We planted a dogwood, a redbud, a forsythia and a long wanted fringe tree in the front garden today.

Elliott and I checked out a little used boat ramp of the Shenandoah as dusk was beginning to darken the day.

Rosie Lee started off well with her dinner but then the royal nose pointed skyward and it was dismissed.

Rain all day and on the drive home.

Giving the canoe a lick of paint so it matches The Blue House.

Can’t wait to start on this project in the next day or two. Paint it blue, with The Blue House and number at the front, then load it with plants and a tree, placed on the highest bank in the garden, jutting over the edge. Stay tuned!

We picked up an old canoe from Paw Paw, WV, on Sunday, which will become a plant holder in the front garden.

We bought a fire pit really cheap and got it up and running on a windy evening. It was superb. Enjoyed with beer and pizza.

We came across this cool looking train in Marshall, used for repairing tracks.

Elliott and I had our first bike ride together, and my first since the knee surgery. 4.5 miles, not bad for the first time in the saddle.

Oscar built a superb table for the embroidery department in just a couple of hours.

Two dear friends visited briefly to drop off some goodies for the Zoom meeting on Friday to celebrate their birthdays. So lively to see them but so sad I couldn’t hug them; we all chatted with masks on while standing apart.

I came home to this wonderful surprise from Elliott, plus a superb sesame chicken cooked by him. This was our anniversary of being together for six glorious months.

We didn’t get an invite to this party, no spare seats! Elliott and I at the Verona flea market.

Decorated the dining room and sat down with Elliott to join a couple of friends on Zoom to celebrate their birthdays, only to find I’d set things up too early. It’s not until next Friday...

Another train derailed in FroRo. No information given yet on the news but the neighbors are worried in case there’s a hazardous cargo.
