I’m gradually learning my deer’s schedule. She hangs out under my tree in the morning and then spends some time here in the cemetery late afternoon. She put her tail up as I approached in the car but it went down when she heard my voice. Love her!

I spotted an abandoned house on my way to Culpeper and had to stop.

Smilin’ Jack was covered in Mack emblems and dogs. Obviously a huge fan, and perfectly understandable, as I am too.

Begonias blooming close to work. I’ve never seen any bees or other pollinators on these plants. Because they’re chemically raised. 

Tonight’s photo is a bit blurred because I didn’t want to get too close. While watering the garden I spotted this little chap. He’s fast asleep. I found 1 other on my cone flowers and another on a Mexican sunflower. All fast asleep! I watered round them very carefully. Night, night zzzzzz.

Visiting the huge Amazon fulfillment center in Baltimore.

A superbly realistic mural in Brunswick, MD. The building known as the Horine Building was home to a pharmacy run by Dr. Arlington Horine, who is depicted looking out a window. The mosaic above represents the Potomac River.

Ocktoberfest at the Beer Museum in FroRo. The owner and staff dressed appropriately while us customers drank appropriately.

One of the cute little coffee shops Carmen and I passed as we poodled about town.

Took a quick spin on the bike again with Carmen, building her up for some long mileage hopefully. Hadn’t realized that this bike matches Stanley, all white with black details.

Traveling towards home and this horrendous crash had happened on the eastbound lane. Thankfully it seems no one was hurt.

That there low roof and the one out back will get its snow shields on at the weekend. Looks like I caught a cloud flower with the Mexican sunflowers which are still going strong and attracting bees and other pollinating bugs.

A luminescent sweat bee on the bee balm in the back garden, and a milkweed bug feeding on milkweed seeds in the small pollinator garden in town. I’d cycled down there to collect some seeds for next year.

The beginning of my cocktail at the Royal Spice restaurant in town where Rob and I went for dinner.

I stopped at the library to pick up some books and was rather surprised to see Dr Who’s time machine there. Apparently they’re hosting Samicon, a comic convention tomorrow. 

Even though I love these big old American trucks, I still experience a fleeting sense of dread and fear when I see one in my rear view mirror. I guess that 1971 movie, Duel, made an impact on me.

LeRning a new embroidery software. With it costing over $3K I need to know everything about it. This may take some time...

While watering the garden tonight I noticed a beautiful moon flower blooming from the seeds I planted weeks ago. What a gorgeous flower.

I have seen photos from FroRo residents depicting some of our quirky neighbors and wondered why I hadn’t seen them. But today I saw one while driving through town! She was strutting along Royal Ave catching everyone’s eye and obviously very proud of her outfit, bless her. The hat was amazing.

At Olga’s wedding reception in MD. A very fun evening with some hilarious Latino traditions..

This tomato plant has been the most prolific one I’ve ever had. It’s grown up over the fence and branches out on each side, its branches loaded with fruit. I picked a bowlful this afternoon and there’s still plenty more for the days ahead. Wonderful!

Starting to read an old book, Weird Tales, by various authors, and published in 1902. The first story has a great title.

I’ve got a good start on painting the dining room. I love the blue front door against the green walls. I had to stop soon after 7:30pm due to poor light.

 Very happy with my painting efforts in the kitchen today. And I’ve started on the dining room too.

Halloween decorations are out, a sad reminder that summer is coming to a close. And this wolf was damn scary!
