The cardinals and snow flag finally looking in place after the snowfall today.

Unwrapping The Knee. It’s still painful and keeps swelling up, but I plan to be walking without a limp before my follow up appointment.

Rosie Lee having a nap, all wrapped up and snuggly on the sofa.

Thursday, January 28, 2021

Me and Rosie Lee hanging out on the sofa after my knee surgery, while being looked after by our Elliott.

Knocking up a proof for a big client.

Finally saw an image of the meniscus on my doctor’s wall. I had no idea it was so large. Mine has a 1cm tear that will hopefully be repaired on Thursday plus the arthritic spurs scraped and a floating bone fragment removed. If unsuccessful, then I’ll need a partial kneecap replacement.

24 Jan 2021

Rosie Lee perched on top of me while keeping ears pinned back, listening, as we wait for Elliott to come to bed.

23 Jan 2021

Visiting a friend’s food truck for lunch, and here’s the brisket and collard greens in the smoker.

22 Jan 2021

This university wanted us to match their embroidery, on the right, for some high end jackets. We nailed it, on the left, and plus some.

21 Jan 2021

A friend posted a website where, by entering your address, you could have Bernie Sanders parked in his chair outside your house, a photo from his inauguration where he sat wrapped up with exceptionally large mittens. So here he is outside the Blue House.

A burgeoning sage leaf caught in the late afternoon sun at home.

Monday, January 18, 2021

This was an art file I created for a client 9 years ago, who wanted a sugar skull design, but was limited to just a few colors. About halfway done here.

Sunday, January 17, 2021

Crackling, still hot, freshly made, from a pig killed yesterday.

Saturday, January 16, 2021

Elliott videoing our guide explaining about anthrodite flowers growing in Skyline Caverns in Front Royal.

Friday, January 15, 2021

Oscar running two of the three embroidery machines at work to complete a huge National order for a client.

14 Jan 2021

My kneecap. Surgery will be required once an MRI has determined whether my pain is from the meniscus tear or arthritis, or both.

If I had to leave the house and was only allowed to take one ornament, this rabbit shelf would be the one.

Elliott searching for his first ever geocache.

I found this huge box of presents today on my doorstep, from Sally. I opened up many and then found a woven basket at the bottom. I opened that to discover yet more gifts inside. I’ve never received such a quantity of presents before. She is amazing.

When the trees at work were heavily pruned in November, this twig was left hanging. It’s been through heavy winds, a snow storm and rains yet still clings defiantly to the branch. Bets are on now that it stays until the tree has leaves in spring.

Tuesday, January 5, 2021

As Elliott and I passed down Main St in FroRo we passed a nativity scene being played out with carols being sung.

Monday, January 4, 2021

The FroRo town council has gone against everything the environmental groups requested, and now huge ugly piles of rock are being dumped where once there was lush vegetation and small trees.

Sunday, January 3, 2021

Me and the Main Man hanging out with Bill and Nick, watching the movie, Chef.

2 Jan 2021

For the first time ever I saw Rosie Lee giving Tricksie Treat a wash. It’s been 2 years but it seems they’re finally bonding.

Friday, January 1, 2021

Elliott and I coming home over the Bay Bridge. I usually post a square photo but didn’t want to crop this one.

31 Dec 2020

I love this photo of Elliott and I by one of the Christmas trees in Cape May, NJ as we walked around admiring the beautiful decorations.
