Elliott found this Saddleback Caterpillar when clearing out some pokeweed. It has poisonous barbs on its back that emit a sting equivalent to a bee. The caterpillar and the Slug Moth that it turns into both eat woodland trees such as maple and oak. Handsome little chap!
