We took the car to the local hand wash car centre run by new European immigrants. They did a wonderful job but we had to laugh at their Christmas tree in the waiting room. Not a single light or decoration to be seen. Mum and I had never seen a bare Christmas tree before!

The notice board in West Moor's local coffee shop sporting an ASBO for a local guy. It made me smile seeing such a public humiliation, a bit like being thrown in the gallows.
