Within just a few weeks, the Shenandoah has gone from nearly dry to severe flooding. Submerged trees after the rain this weekend, and the level’s still rising. 

A couple of hours spent at a local winery with friends, one of whom is a member, and got us all free tastings. Just as well, since a bottle of red was $72!

Free work lunch today at a local restaurant. The food was great, but not this monstrous light above our table, which I couldn’t stop staring at.

This diner in Winchester has become more famous since it closed than when it was open. All the locals keep an eye on it, everyone wondering if it will ever open again. There have been reports of people going in. There was a light on inside as I passed by.

Incredible how this sweet William has survived through ice and snow. Hoping I can get seeds from it.
