Mum sent 4 of these beautiful little feathers. I'm not sure if she has jays down in Dorset, will ask her.

Got a surprise package from Mum today with two of my favorite soaps inside. The wonderful scent was wafting out before I'd even opened the packaging. 

At the end of a work day I love driving across the top of the hills once I've left the suburbs behind. No housing estates or commercial buildings or congeste traffic. Just clean air and the peace of nature.

Printed a lot of spectator scarves for MASN, for the Orioles. That logo will be printed on the other side tomorrow.

Barb gave me this great kayaking decal today for Stuart's window. Looking forward to getting back in the water again!

An ice covered spider in my garden this morning.

I left work early and stocked up with groceries, ready for the snow storm tonight. Dinner was a wheat bagel loaded with Marmite and Philly cheese spread and a huge mug of tea. Yum!

I bet there's not many folks who are still using the same gym bag since the 80's. This used to be my regular table tennis bag when I played league matches and it was a high end bag back then!

Left work earlier as the white stuff was falling heavily today and I didn't want to have problems getting up the hill after dark. 

A beautiful jewel on a shelf in my bedroom. I never tire of staring at this.

The dodgy car business at the back of Emblemax had a battery on a tow truck ignite into flames in the early hours of this morning, also destroying much of the paintwork of a customer's Acura. We're waiting to hear if it was arson or not.

This made us laugh, on a wall in a dive bar in Cumberland, MD, where I hung out with Emily and Richard.

The first slice through the ice with m wipers on the windshield this morning. Even leaving Stuart idling for 10 minutes wasn't enough, it was cold!

I brought a lot of these boxes of cereal back from England. Completely natural ingredients with NO sugar. What a rip off this is, I paid the equivalent of $3 for 550g for each box. But still nice to see them in Giant although I suspect the lack of sugar will mean they won't sell well.

Staff cars with their wipers up expecting snow, but I knew there wouldn't be any so Stuart's wipers stayed on the windscreen.

Forgot to post this from yesterday.

Ugh, waiting to join traffic and roadworks after work. Did I say I hated NOVA?

Emily and I both got a surprise Christmas present from Richard. A film camera that's been recycled and now takes photos that places a 'cat' motif over every photo we take. An awesome gift, we were both ecstatic with our novel cameras.

Kota Kat and Rosie Lee snuggle up next to me on the sofa. They've both been very clingy since I returned and I'm enjoying the attention!

An icy day today as I ventured out to get some free range eggs and other groceries to fill my empty fridge.

Making my way to the plane that will fly me back to the U.S. And realizing that I'm not really that happy about it...

Mum with friend and neighbor, Natalie, having a heated discussion about another neighbor. I'm going to miss these gossips when I return to the States.

A lovely day in Swanage, walking the beautiful narrow streets with stone buildings, the cliffs and eating fresh cod and chips. A run to an old fashioned sweet shop at Corfe Castle followed.

It's a crying shame that the U.S. can't produce pies like this. Bought at Mum's local Morrisons, who bought out Safeway, we had this for lunch with mash pots, greens, carrots and gravy. Washed down with a glass of red, it was the mutt's nuts. 

Mum and I couldn't work out what the skull and crossbones were symbolic of on this man's hat which we presumed was being worn to celebrate the New Year.

Wimborne Minster with a full moon. It's over 1300 years old and has one of the 4 remaining chained libraries in the world.

A group of sailboarders at Mudeford Bay where it was cold and blustery on the beach and had to be colder in the water!

Watching the fireworks in London on TV while seeing in the New Year with Mum. They were incredible as were Queen who played before and afterwards.
