Goodbye to 2024, and just knowing that 2025 will be so much better.

I did a double take while filling up the car at the petrol station, when I saw this launderette out in the wild. And 2 of the washers were in use! Whatever next?

Tricksie Treat deciding whether to stay on the sofa or not. It took a while, but she voted to stay and curled up for a doze.

Meet the new ride, a Kia Sportage, fully loaded. Not sure on the name yet, either Spencer or Sheldon.

Greg and I stopped on a back street on the way home from buying my car, to check a noise coming from my rental car. All was OK, and the foggy woods lit up by a streetlight were beautiful. Photo of my car coming tomorrow.

This strange building is just outside Ferryhill, and looks to be sliding into the ground.

No Christmas tree this year, but I did manage to put up a string of lights with some tinsel!

I walked a couple of miles with Greg and saw these amazing sculptures designed by Tony Cragg, on a trail in Consett.

Greg brought this dear little fire over, and I found the lamp at a charity shop. Nice and cozy!

I spent a very windy couple of hours on Seaham beach picking up seaglass. This beach is renowned worldwide for seaglass due to the old bottle factory that used to be here, but I didn't find a lot. I'll return in the spring.

Knitted Christmas creations on posts in Thirsk, N. Yorkshire, where Greg and I looked around the shops.

Opposite my rented flat is a funeral agency. There was obviously going to be a funeral this morning, and this lady walked out of the office, over to the casket in the back of the vehicle, and solemnly bowed. She then walked to the front of the cars and led them slowly down the street.

So many fields of green, with stone walls and hedges. The photo quality is currently rough as I'm blogging on a borrowed Android phone until my iPhone can be used again. Hopefully, very soon.

I was amazed at the selection of bed linen in a shop today. This photo represented only a fifth of what they had. Gorgeous patterns and colours.

I moved into my temporary rental today, and Greg brought round some fresh chips, wrapped in paper. Lovely!
