Friday, November 29, 2024

Rob came up to grab some bits and pieces and to say farewell. Hopefully he’ll come and visit one day.

Thursday, November 28, 2024

It’s Thanksgiving and the Christmas decorations are appearing. This house always looks lovely.

Wednesday, November 27, 2024

Locking the deers in the cemetery again tonight. Mom and her 2 babies, who’ve grown up healthy, and should get through the winter just fine.

Tuesday, November 26, 2024

This blue jay chattered non-stop as he peered at me through my moving boxes.

Monday, November 25, 2024

There’s been a few accidents with people crossing this road in town, but I couldn’t help chuckling at the irony of this tilted sign.

Sunday, November 24, 2024

A warm glowing sky this morning, from the kitchen window.

Saturday, November 23, 2024

A phenomenal party tonight at Janice and Simon’s house. The boys were on another table but us girls got together for a photo. Great night!

Friday, November 22, 2024

With snow flurries, wind and rain, a huge flock of vultures were lazily circling in the sky as daylight slowly faded.

Thursday, November 21, 2024

While walking to get coffee early this morning, I came across this abandoned basket. I considered taking it home, but spotted a child’s toy inside, so left it, hoping the owner would return.

Wednesday, November 20, 2024

Clouds and mountains merging, from the top of the cemetery.

Tuesday, November 19, 2024

Sorting out my books for packing. I think I managed to part with maybe 15% of my collection.

Monday, November 18, 2024

Not very often you see a parachutist near your home. I had no idea where he’d be landing, but it looked like it would be safe, he was descending very slowly.

Sunday, November 17, 2024

You see all sorts at the White Post flea market. I’ve never seen such a huge left chest decoration, or barbed wire so prominent around an American eagle.

Saturday, November 16, 2024

Mary Lynn, a fellow tree steward, and great friend, on a bridge over Happy Creek, by the town arboretum.

Friday, November 15, 2024

I hadn’t been down the tavern for a while, due to me being a Mrs Misery with my current situation, but I went tonight to hang out with the VIPs and see Greg and his brother, Bev, play. And dear Jim, the owner cleared my tab. I will miss this place.

Thursday, November 14, 2024

All the leaves are gone. Bare trees on the cemetery skyline.

Wednesday, November 13, 2024

Tricksie Treat enjoying the warm sun through the window.

Tuesday, November 12, 2024

The last raspberries this year, as the temperature goes down to 27F tonight.

Monday, November 11, 2024

I worked with the tree stewards today handing out free dogwood and redbud saplings during the Veterans Day event on Main St.

Sunday, November 10, 2024

The town has plenty of flags on display for Veterans Day tomorrow.

Saturday, November 9, 2024

These have been our neighbors, opposite Elliott and I, at the weekly flea market. I asked what they were drinking and was told, Champurrado, a chocolate atole, made with ground corn, whole milk, water, chocolate, brown sugar, cinnamon and some salt. The husband brought me a cup of it, which was very kind of them. It was horrible.

Friday, November 8, 2024

Incredibly, I’m still getting a small handful of delicious raspberries every other day.

Thursday, November 7, 2024

Having brunch with Janice, and I wanted to photograph my delicious sausage, cheese and egg biscuit, when another customer photobombed the picture. Hilarious!

Wednesday, November 6, 2024

The blueberry bush foliage is looking gorgeous this afternoon.

Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Monday, November 4, 2024

Sunday, November 3, 2024

A delicious lunch made by two friends. Butternut squash soup from Carol, and sourdough bread from Chris.

Saturday, November 2, 2024

Very early at the flea market this morning, I backed in to my table, and did a double take when I looked over at the truck parked next to me.

Friday, November 1, 2024

Look at the size of these Halloween monsters. They’re over $300 each and only on show for a couple of weeks. They probably take up a lot of storage room for the rest of the year too.
