The beautiful maples in the cemetery are dropping their veils of color. In about 2 weeks the branches will be bare, but they’ve put on a splendid show.

The American smoke tree grew a lot this year, and is giving a splendid show of autumnal colors.

This building on Main St was a derelict ruin, but it’s been beautifully restored. Retail space downstairs and apartments upstairs.

The trees in the cemetery are looking beautiful now.

A lovely afternoon spent with Chris and Mary Lynn at a Barrel Oak Winery & Brewery event, raising money for the Middleburg Humane Society.

An amazing evening of friendship and music tonight. This was the violin player, who didn’t get enough kudos for his amazing performance, but I loved this image of him.

Not quite sure what was going on at this checkout at Aldi’s.

Driving to the dump, which I never mind since the scenery is so lovely. The autumn colors are beginning to look amazing.

Tricksie Treat got stoned on her catnip this evening, and is now dozing while covered in the stuff after rolling around in it.

My bad luck continues. A large screw in my tire. Had hoped I could limp through until tomorrow morning when I can get it repaired, but the tire’s now flat, and I’m waiting for AAA.

This guy, and his many dogs, is a well loved local. He had 5 of these hounds impounded earlier this year, but a huge community support freed them. The dogs are incredibly well behaved and he can leave them all loose in the back of his truck while he goes in the store. This is on Main St this evening.

This maple in the cemetery decided it wanted to be the first of the trees to put on a glorious fall display. It succeeded magnificently.

It was like stepping back in time, seeing this beautiful antique cars for sale in Front Royal.

I parked on a steep street this morning, and noticed that I was the only car that had turned my wheels to the curb. The wheels of the cars on the other side of the street were also straight. It dumbfounded me that nobody else took this safety precaution.

There’s still color in the garden, but with temperatures lowering at night, these won’t last much longer.

I was at the tree warden’s booth, as part of the Festival of Leaves, downtown today. This excellent advertising display was opposite us.

With the economy at a ludicrous high, bottles of spring water are nearly $2 in the store, yet this great company in town lets you fill up gallon containers with filtered spring water for 25c. And it’s delicious!

That’s my voting done, and my effort to thwart Trump.

This alien looking plant is the seed pod of a moon flower. I’ll be checking these while they dry out. I’m guessing the ‘spikes’ are to deter birds from eating the seeds, as apparently, cardinals love them.

There are so many squirrels in the cemetery, I have to be really careful as I drive around. This little chap studied me intently as I passed by.

Many people on social media have been reporting bad harvests this year. Here’s my first crop of tomatoes, the worst ever, and I’m not sure if there’ll be any more.

Worked with the tree wardens today. I cleared this tree of suckers, sprouts, English ivy, Virginia creeper and poison ivy.

I watched a guy perform magic with flowers at the Flower Club of Warren County. He put this together in just over 5 minutes.

A garden of dahlias in pretty Waterford, where I spent the day  at an art show, with another friend, also a Jen.

A wonderful afternoon and evening, spent with Jen and Cris. We did a distillery, breweries and a pub. Love these guys.

The fall decorations are always the best in the cemetery, and this family always puts on a lovely display.
