Is there a puddy tat under that sheet? Why, yes, it’s Rosie Liscious Lee!

Wednesday, September 29, 2021

While sending Elliott to his job interview with as much luck and love I could muster up, my deer ran across the front garden with her 2 youngsters. This was one of them leaping across the Mexican sunflowers and goldenrods, with a look in her eye that clearly says, ‘Go get ‘em, mister!’ We saw it as a good omen!

A unicorn and cat peering out of the back of our local book shop. There’s also a few real cats prowling the book shelves.

Rosie Lee and Tricksie Treat catching some midday sun in the living room.

Sunday, September 26, 2021

The latest addition to our wild ‘hedge’ strip in the garden, a metal wheel from an old farm planter machine.

Saturday, September 25, 2021

At the tank farm I fell in love with this Russian BTR 152, a personnel carrier with anti tank weapons. I could really see myself going grocery shopping in FroRo in this and promptly insisted that Elliott get me one for Christmas.

This place near home always fascinates me in a morbid way, I always want to drive by it. Maybe it’s because I loved the TV series, 6 Feet Under. Today I walked by and had to snap a photo.

Thursday, September 23, 2021

Gorgeous wild cup flowers blooming by a fast flowing Happy Creek in FroRo; the water high from yesterday’s rain.

Wednesday, September 22, 2021

My beautiful rose that Elliott got me for my desk. Certainly enhances my work day xx.

21 Sept 2021

My first solo walk since surgery, and I really enjoyed walking the early morning streets of FroRo. I met this little chap, who actually stopped and turned around when I called him, and then lifted himself up onto his tiptoes and scuttled off.

Monday, September 20, 2021

On my first solo walk today I came across this in a front garden. I stared at it for a while but failed to see why it was a garden ornament. There must be a story behind it…

Sunday, September 19, 2021

A lovely lunch with Elliott’s parents, celebrating his Birthday. I love this family x.

Saturday, September 18, 2021

We went to watch a brief historical re-enactment at Middletown today. Very few spectators were there, but it was nice to be outside and chatting to the folks involved. The guy in red had a beautiful gun from the Tower of London which impressed me.

Friday, September 17, 2021

Since I’ve been working from home, I often stop and look at this old bubble picture frame by my desk that  I’ve been intending to repair. It holds a photo I took on one of my favorite hikes, and now sets a challenge for me, to get back hiking on a trail by November 6th, when daylight savings time ends.

Early morning sun lighting up my Victorian glass from England.

Wednesday, September 15, 2021

The last summer blooms putting on a vibrant display for the remaining butterflies and bees.

Monday, September 13, 2021

Elliott’s childhood toy monkey hanging stoically from the ceiling fan while the blades whiz round.

Sunday, September 12, 2021

Not the bestest of photos, but a happy couple of hours spent at a local brewery enjoying Lemon Basil IPAs and fresh air.

Saturday, September 11, 2021

Tricksie Treat eyeing up my dessert and very obviously saying, “You’re gonna share that, right?” I didn’t. Sorry, Tricksie Treat.

Friday, September 10, 2021

This was one of the many chickens in a back garden of a house next to my physical therapy clinic. They seem to have a good life here.

Thursday, September 9, 2021

Our local ice cream shop installed this bench outside today. They have a great sense of humor, and this is so them. A wonderful quirky addition to Main St.

Wednesday, September 8, 2021

A dozen beautiful red roses and a gorgeously poetic card from Elliott to celebrate our first year together. Love him!

Tuesday, September 7, 2021

The heavy rains split the ripe tomatoes. Hoping these will get to ripen OK, or if not, I’ll slice them, fry them, and have them on toast with salt and pepper.

Monday, September 6, 2021

Elliott found this Saddleback Caterpillar when clearing out some pokeweed. It has poisonous barbs on its back that emit a sting equivalent to a bee. The caterpillar and the Slug Moth that it turns into both eat woodland trees such as maple and oak. Handsome little chap!

Sunday, September 5, 2021

Elliott and I visited the local Strasburg museum, just to get out of the house. An interesting little place and good exercise for me on the crutches, even going up and down a flight of stairs.

Saturday, September 4, 2021

The Mexican sunflower bush in the front garden has been hosting a colony of these sweet little butterflies, the Peck’s Skipper, or polites peckius. What a lovely Latin name.

3 Sept 2021

So happy at how the canoe turned out, brimming with flowers, and Captain Purrcard standing on the bow, plus the bonus of scoring the old bike. It was meant to be.

Thursday, September 2, 2021

Not from Brood X, as it doesn’t have the red eyes, but this cicada landed on my back and serenaded me very loudly for a while before leaping off to another part of the garden. I could feel him gripping the back of my shirt and the strength in his legs as he pushed away from me. Dear little chap!

Wednesday, September 1, 2021

With the aftermath of Hurricane Ida hitting FroRo, the day was filled with continuous rain. This image is of a rain soaked screen.
