We’ve been working for a week getting these flight suits and kits ready for a high end company in CA. It’s been arduous and stressful for the whole company. We’ll be glad to complete the job tomorrow.

29 Sept 2020

Mine and Elliott’s muddy boots, after loading up the car, in the pouring rain, with sacks of lawn that I’d dug up. And then Elliott happened to be at my house on the night that I finally trapped Chonk Jr, so he could help with Chink’s release. An amazing evening!

And here we go again, trying to capture Chonk. He’s proving too smart for me.

26 Sept 2020

Elliott trying to decide what ice cream he wants.

26 Sept 2020

Someone’s already in a Halloween mood. A front garden Elliott and I passed on our walk around FroRo.

Boss Man posing with a $3K jacket that a client wants embroidered but nobody wants to touch.

Thursday, September 24, 2020

Packing up hundreds of masks and filters in individual bags for a client. And yes, I checked the profit margin before engaging on this task, and yes, it was worth it. Client logo has been blurred.

Wednesday, September 23, 2020

Walked into the sales pit and saw this. Some serious toe dressing going on here!

Tuesday, September 22, 2020

While slicing plastic tubing to cover the sharp edge of the carport so Elliott doesn’t cut his head again, I accidentally sliced myself. I guess we’re one for one now.

Sunday, September 20, 2020

Elliott throwing his boomerangs, most of the time successfully. I had a go, it’s not easy.

19 Sept 2020

Celebrating Elliott’s birthday.

Friday, September 18, 2020

My two shooting buddies for the evening, Chet and Bill. We were supposed to be taking night photos but ended up chatting and laughing more than looking through our lenses. A fun night!

Thursday, September 17, 2020

The only flower pots in my back garden that Chonk Jr hasn’t demolished. A little bit of color to see me into the fall.

Wednesday, September 16, 2020

Checking my roof repair from a few months ago, which is still holding well, and sat there for a bit enjoying the view.

Tuesday, September 15, 2020

I stop and smell the roses from Elliott every morning, loving that I begin the day with a sweet fragrance.

14 Sept 2020

This is the first time I have ever paid any heed to local politics, but loving my little town as much as I do, and actually knowing the folks running for office, I love doing my bit and putting the word out.

Sunday, September 13, 2020

I’ve been wanting to try the food at Johnny Monarch’s ever since it opened in Marshall a few years ago, and today, I managed to strike it off my bucket list. I had the award winning Tomato Pie and Elliott had the American Pie. Both were delicious.

12 Sept 2020

Watching local band, Aftershock, perform superbly down the Beer Museum.

11 Sept 2020

The theater lights at the cinema where Elliott and I went to watch Tenet.

My Passion flower vine is climbing and flowering profusely.

When the Spanish and Portuguese missionaries came to the Americas in the 16th century, they used the Passion Flower as a symbolic way to teach about the story of Jesus Christ.

  • The 10 petals represent Jesus’ Faithful Apostles
  • The five “anthers” are symbolic of the five Sacred Wounds Jesus suffered
  • The circle of filaments in the center of the flower represent the Crown of Thorns.
  • The three purple stigma represent the 3 nails holding Jesus to the cross.

Tuesday, September 8, 2020

A private tour for Elliott and I in the Endless Caverns.

Monday, September 7, 2020

The election boards are up. I like all of these contenders and drink with two of them. Hoping we’ll have a great representation for our town after the election.

Saturday, September 5, 2020

While picking up some elderberries from an elderly gentleman and after a long discussion on wine making, he gave me a bag and secateurs and then sent me to a field of red grapes, telling me to help myself. How wonderful!

One of the Rte 66 construction crew getting ready for work on a misty morning.

Wednesday, September 2, 2020

Last night I had planted 4 brussels plants and 4 lettuces in the vain hope they might survive but I looked out the back this evening and caught Chonk Jr having chowed all the brussels and on his second lettuce. Enough is enough. I went straight out and bought a trap, loaded it with apple, and hope I’ll have a result before the weekend. If I get him, I’ll go for Chonk Sr next.

A jolly big flower pot. Can’t fit this in my car unfortunately.
