At my DMV appointment for my Real ID driver’s license. It was actually quite a shock to see a handful of chairs where once there would have been a hundred. But they took COVID seriously, I was impressed.

One of our clients has a web store with us and has part of our warehouse as storage. Here is is taking a photo of a shirt we just printed to post online. I had to tell him to turn the shirt around so the sun was behind him; he was casting a shadow on the ground.

Got this beautiful wardrobe extremely  cheap. Just need to replace a mirror for that top cupboard, everything else is completely intact. Weighs a ton! The photo frame was a steal too, have to restore the top piece.

Tuesday, July 28, 2020

I passed this car going across the river into town. There’s a few around here that decorate the top of their cars and I loved these sunflowers.

Monday, July 27, 2020

The poor lads at work trying to find a way to extract the hot air in the production area, heated up by 2 industrial dryers, each throwing out 350F. It’s hell working out there and hopefully this will work.

Saturday, July 25, 2020

Plenty of photos being taken among the zinnias, but I was there for the sunflowers.

Friday, July 24, 2020

The best Banh mi sandwich in the state from Megabytes Eatery close to work. Vietnamese pork with shredded carrots and radishes, and cilantro, plus a hot pepper, on home baked bread. It’s divine.

Thursday, July 23, 2020

A sign outside the grocery store in town. A lot of residents in Front Royal have a problem with wearing face masks.

Wednesday, July 22, 2020

I built this little pond only a year ago. It’s given me so much pleasure in this time, and the wildlife visit constantly for drinking and bathing.

Tuesday, July 21, 2020

I spotted this on a side street in town. Looks like FroRo is getting a monarch mural. Can’t wait to see it finished!

Monday, July 20, 2020

I became aware of the geometrical patterns on the underside of Rte 66 as I waited with the traffic as it merged on to that interstate.

Sunday, July 19, 2020

Dropped into my favorite coffee shop in FroRo for a morning coffee and biscuit, my reward for working in the garden. Love their Indian coffee.

Saturday, July 18, 2020

A boneless leg of New Zealand lamb about to be roasted with potatoes and onions. It was outstanding.

Friday, July 17, 2020

I had to stop in town and see this sign for myself. It was all over the FroRo media within a couple of hours. The guy told me I’d just missed the police. The ex had taken both cars and drained the bank account, including rent money, leaving him with $8. I told him I was sure karma would pay a visit. Poor chap!

Thursday, July 16, 2020

Just a couple of my groundhog ravaged crops, celery and brussels. They won’t recover...

Wednesday, July 15, 2020

The sea holly looks gorgeous in the afternoon sun and has multiple bees buzzing around it.

Tuesday, July 14, 2020

Watering what’s left of my back yard after the groundhog invasion, which I’m still battling.

Monday, July 13, 2020

So happy the library is open, and that they’re being extremely cautious. I’ll only go very occasionally though.

Sunday, July 12, 2020

Voted the best pizza in VA, The Melting Pot delivers the perfect pie every time.

Saturday, July 11, 2020

A civil war cannon outside a power plant about to be demolished in Baltimore. I hope it gets saved.

Friday, July 10, 2020

Well done to this health food store for not backing down on mask wearing.

Wednesday, July 8, 2020

Our local grocery store is becoming like Walmart. I had to follow this monstrosity as I entered today.

Tuesday, July 7, 2020

My irises arrived. A few hours of digging in extreme humidity awaits.

Sunday, July 5, 2020

An utterly ugly ‘vomit’ clock, the term used for these gross pieces, that I saw at a flea market. Evidently so ugly that it wasn’t even given shelf space.

Saturday, July 4, 2020

Carmen left a thoughtful present on my porch today. Lovely to get this especially since an annual fireworks party I usually attend at a friend’s house was canceled due to COVID.

Friday, July 3, 2020

This native plant is a Buttonbush, the flowers attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. I’d been wanting one for a while so was ecstatic to finally find one and then see it thrive in front of the bee balm.

Thursday, July 2, 2020

I pruned my hydrangeas too late last year, resulting in no blooms. Lesson learned, they look stunning this year.

Wednesday, July 1, 2020

This caught my eye today, a radio antenna disguised as, possibly, a .308 Winchester round. Neat.
