There’s a few of of these untidy spots in Front Royal. Laundry ‘drying’ on a rainy day and the yard filled with trash. I’d hate to be their neighbor.

Had to seal a minor leak on my roof, we’ve got storms and a lot of rain coming in before the evening. Very pleased with the result and sat for a while enjoying the view and watching those storm clouds coming in.

Spotted this beauty tucked away as I drove home from work.

Standing in line at the supermarket. Everyone’s keeping their distance but hardly anyone was wearing protection. They are just not taking COVID-19 seriously in this town.

The sprouts are sprouting. These should be ready to harvest within a week. 

Chimney inspection today to prepare for a wood stove installation. I will have real fire for the coming autumn but I fear it may cost a few bucks. 

Billy and I posing with face masks which will be on a new website for our clients. Billy was my hero today. After a month of being unable to find kitchen towels he brought me in a pack of two, bless him.

Watching a free concert from Richard Thompson accompanied by Zara Phillips, played at his home. It was great!

During this lockdown I get a lot of comfort from walking along the Shenandoah, it rolls by relentless of human issues and I love that it flows regardless of human influences.

The Post Office in town looked like a hospital lab, but at least the staff were being protected.

Driving back towards town this morning and last night’s snow could be seen on the mountain tops. 

The Shenandoah swelling with the recent rain, and a lot more falling this week. I enjoyed a long walk today in warm temperatures before they dropped in the evening. Winter has returned, The Skyline Drive has snow falling on it this evening.

A blustery spring day as I drove home after an unsuccessful farm trip to get eggs. I’m guessing the egg lady is holding off selling them until the pandemic has passed, since she leaves them in a fridge for people to help themselves to. 

This guy’s new to town. I get to get up close to inspect him, he looked so real.

I tried to repair a puncture on the Green Genie today but failed so have to drop the bike off to a repair shop. I’m apprehensive about it but have no choice if I want to continue riding this bike. 

Helping on the production line printing t-shirts and Alam was looking very serious.

I rode all around Front Royal today in high winds to get some exercise. Main Street completely empty with everyone isolating themselves in their homes.

I sneaked through fields and undergrowth to get to this quarry pool. Beautiful color!

A tasty salad for lunch using some weeds from my front garden. Purple dead nettle is abundant in vitamin C, iron, fiber and antioxidants.

This dead tree looked just like the rib cage of a dead monster on the trail. 

Very surreal driving home from work today. Usually this stretch of road would be bumper to bumper, yet today, it was deserted.

I’m pleased the new paint matched the tiles in the bathroom, since I had no plans to replace those. Another four walls of white gone.

The guest bathroom transformed from a ghastly tan color to apple green. One down, one to go.
