Beautiful old farm buildings on my drive around local roads today.

Monday, March 30, 2020

Standing patiently in line at Trader Joe’s where they’re only allowing in 20 people at a time. Plus, they’re fully stocked.

Saturday, March 28, 2020

The forsythia and daffodils blooming at The Blue House, with the perennials beginning to poke through the leaves.

Friday, March 27, 2020

With money not spent on gas getting to work I’ve got internet for a month. Let the binge watching of coveted shows begin.

Thursday, March 26, 2020

Hanging out with the Urbexia crew on a Zoom video meeting. Lovely to chat when we’re all isolating ourselves at home.

Wednesday, March 25, 2020

There was a lot of snuggling today on the sofa while the rain fell outside.

Tuesday, March 24, 2020

Ordering a coffee in a local coffee shop and this will be my last trip to a take out establishment, regardless of how careful they are regarding the pandemic. It was superb coffee, I’ll look forward to another once the coast is clear.

Monday, March 23, 2020

Driving home on back roads in the rain, new red leaves beginning to pop out on the trees.

Saturday, March 21, 2020

A fine view of the Shenandoah from the Woodstock Tower, a few lover’s padlocks attached to the fencing.

Friday, March 20, 2020

The toilet paper aisle in Martins, and many other aisles were similar. Luckily, I only needed potatoes, fruit and milk, which I managed to get. Panic has set into the town.

Thursday, March 19, 2020

I was initially annoyed at the cardinals and purple finches eating my cherry blossom flowers, but they need food and they also help to pollinate by spreading the pollen caught on their beaks. So, enjoy, my feathered friends.

Wednesday, March 18, 2020

Getting old, I couldn’t demolish this plate of perfection. Called Death by Pork, there was plenty left to take home for dinner tomorrow.

Tuesday, March 17, 2020

I only noticed tonight the beautiful daffodils I’d planted in the back garden, looking bright and cheerful. I was amazed to see plenty of other shoots sprouting forth. I’m excited so many of the plants from last year have apparently survived.

15 Mar 2020

The blossoms in the cemetery are in full bloom. These are at the top of the hill, set way back from the main entrance. I hadn’t discovered them last year.

On top of the worry of completing orders before they are canceled by COVID-19, we lost power at work, and tried to endure under emergency lighting. Catch up tomorrow if power is restored.

Saturday, March 14, 2020

Amazing how a well placed sunbeam can appear to illuminate a glass of water from within.

Friday, March 13, 2020

Looks like it’s tune-up day for classic cars at the repair shop near work.

Thursday, March 12, 2020

Businesses are scrambling to get packages out due to the Covid-19 panic, ours included. The poor UPS guy has had to make multiple pick ups on his route. This stack of ours was still waiting when I left work this evening.

Wednesday, March 11, 2020

There was something about this design that kept niggling me as I worked on it, until I realized the number was my childhood home phone number.

Tuesday, March 10, 2020

I passed this machinery this evening on my way to Trader Joe’s. Centreville is a mess with the new road layout construction but I had hoped to see this in action as I waited in traffic. Unfortunately the guy was repairing the cab door rather than using this huge drill so I didn’t see any action.

Monday, March 9, 2020

I don’t think it’s legal anymore to have a dog in an open back truck, but this guy was really enjoying his ride, and in a small town like FroRo it’s likely not anything unusual.

Sunday, March 8, 2020

The evening sun shining through a glass collection, lighting them up.

Saturday, March 7, 2020

The dawn sun shining through one of my abandoned asylum cell light lenses.

Thursday, March 5, 2020

This little cat hangs around the neighborhood. I think she’s a stray but she’s very friendly and visits everyone. I can’t take her in permanently but give her a handful of food occasionally. I really hope she has a home.

Wednesday, March 4, 2020

Aaaw, little Rosie Lee spending some cuddle time with Mum.

Tuesday, March 3, 2020

An incredible stormy sky as I drive home through Front Royal, heralding rain and winds for the dark hours.

Monday, March 2, 2020

Well done phone! I now get an alert for robocalls and seeing them referred to as this made me chuckle.

Sunday, March 1, 2020

I walked quietly all around the outside of this house but couldn’t determine if it was empty or not. When in doubt, don’t do it. I walked away.
