Elliott and I raising our brunch Mimosas to our dear friend who has today completed 5 weeks of cancer treatment.

Tuesday, December 29, 2020

Elliott looking very comfortable while wearing my bling reading glasses as he books our mini New Year’s Eve getaway.

28 Dec2020

I was greeted by this smiley face as I opened the pot of Marmite for breakfast.

27 Dec 2020

Another shot from yesterday. This car was parked intentionally up on a snow pile and we saw the young owners returning to it. If I had a vehicle capable of this I would have done the same. Loved it!

Saturday, December 26, 2020

Seeing these two together is a rare event, but they seem to be getting on better lately.

Friday, December 25, 2020

Sharing our Christmas dinner with the starlings. They got the cooked bacon that was keeping the turkey moist and the turkey neck.

24 Dec 2020

So grateful that I have the love of my life sharing this special time, and the prezzies under the tree, with me. I feel very thankful and loved.

Wednesday, December 23, 2020

I saw these two Jeep’s and one other on 66 on my way home. They and hundreds of others are traveling to Hedgesville, WV for a parade tomorrow, where they’ll drive by a 4 year old little boy suffering with cancer. How heartwarming.

Sunday, December 20, 2020

Elliott posing in his crop top sweatshirt that we cut down, both of us howling with laughter at the end result.

Saturday, December 19, 2020

It’s Move In Day, finally!, for Elliott as his belongings are brought into the Blue House. We’re so happy!

Friday, December 18, 2020

A tree decorated for Christmas on a country lane as I drove home.

Thursday, December 17, 2020

The roads are starting to clear after the 8” snowfall yesterday. Looking down Prospect St from my driveway.

Wednesday, December 16, 2020

The neighborhood kids sledding in front of The Blue House while snowflakes tumble around them.

Tuesday, December 15, 2020

I found this woolly bear caterpillar on my drive. All black means a severe winter and tomorrow we’re forecast to get over a foot of snow. I snuggled him under a bed of leaves and ivy to keep warm.

Monday, December 14, 2020

Christmas lights at the John Hopkins National Proton Center, where I’m waiting for a very dear friend while he receives his treatment.

13 Dec 2020

My favorite decoration on the tree.

Saturday, December 12, 2020

Striking striations in the sand and water at Rock Creek Park in DC, where Elliott and I took a stroll.

Thursday, December 10, 2020

One of our biggest clients has expensive tastes. The shirt tag is even personalized because the clothing company tailors them for him. We just embroider his logo on the left chest. Note the price...

Wednesday, December 9, 2020

Clouds of dust from the continuous roadworks on 66 casting an eerie light in the late afternoon sun.

Tuesday, December 8, 2020

After hunting for branches for 2 weeks to use as Christmas decorations, I found them at work. A nice man who was pruning the trees cut me some with his chainsaw. What luck!

Monday, December 7, 2020

Bill took me to his favorite bookstore, Blue Plate Books, in Winchester. A gem of a shop and I came away with 3 books.

Sunday, December 6, 2020

Elliott and I passed this monstrosity on the way to a brewery this afternoon.

Saturday, December 5, 2020

Another mural is being painted along Main St in Marshall.

4 Dec 2020

Following Elliott home in heavy traffic, both cars laden with boxes of his belongings.

Thursday, December 3, 2020

I always look out for Linden Fire Station’s board messages as I drive to and from work. Love their sense of humor.

Wednesday, December 2, 2020

Sunshine playing on Elliott’s phone and throwing out some party colors as we drove back to my work after lunch.

28 Nov 2020

We discovered another mural being painted as we walked around town.

27 Nov 2020

Elliott says this hibiscus flower bloomed when I arrived, the only flower on the stem. Aaaaw.

26 Nov 2020

No turkey dinner today but the turkey place marker is out on display. Rob has his one out too.

Wednesday, November 25, 2020

Gerald the spider has sat in my cars for over 30 years. An example of how well made plastic items used to be. And he still squeaks.

Tuesday, November 24, 2020

This sign on the ceiling always makes me chuckle as I’m lying back having my hair washed.

23 Nov 2020

Beautiful sky as I drove into FroRo this evening.

Sunday, November 22, 2020

Elliott and I went for a short hike at Sky Meadow Park. Loved this vine with berries.

21 Nov 2020

Meeting for the protest to save Happy Creek in town.

Saturday, November 21, 2020

20 Nov 2020

Billy adding player numbers to a Redskins helmet, which will be a Christmas present for Boss Man’s son.

Thursday, November 19, 2020

The sinking sun shines on fences and silhouettes trees on the drive home tonight.

18 Nov 2020

Buzzing about in my bee mask at work.

Wednesday, November 18, 2020

17 Nov 2020

The bottles on my kitchen window ledge, lit up by tiny lights.

Monday, November 16, 2020

Loved these boots so much, but they had to stay on the shelf. Boo, but they wouldn’t get enough use.

Sunday, November 15, 2020

I showed Elliott some muffler men I discovered in WV a few years ago.

Saturday, November 14, 2020

Friday, November 13, 2020

Thursday, November 12, 2020

All the leaves at work fell overnight after the heavy rains.

Wednesday, November 11, 2020

My Sony arrived after its hospital stay, fully repaired and work in v wonderfully. Roll on the weekend to take photos.
