A sunshiney spring cottage in The Plains. 

My cherry jello was almost glowing this evening, it was so red. Full of bad artificial colors and flavorings, but no calories, woo hoo! So down the hatch it went!

Working on the presidential seal embroidery file which is going on 2 huge travel bags for Under Armour's president Kevin Plank. We're pretty sure these will be presented to the Big Chief himself. The finished embroidery looked awesome!

I passed these mail boxes being fiercely guarded by a bald eagle. That's one hefty bird!

Smaller cycling group this week and 2 went back early but it was a great workout. Pushed up into gears I've never used before and we pummeled over 21 miles.

This car was in front of on the way to work, and made me chuckle. I guess the owner is a big Target shopper.

All the pear blossoms are in bloom, looking like lots of white clouds caught in the bare branches. I hope the heavy winds don't knock too many down.

Mum and I didn't change Easter gifts since I'll be over there in a month yet today a present turned up for Kota and Rosie Lee from their Gran. I was a little bit envious but happy to watch them enjoy their treats.

Hard to tell here as I took a quick snap while on our 18 mile ride last night, but my new trainers looked awesome and the laces matched the Green Genie exactly!

Feeling miserable as I console myself with a big mug of tea and the Reader's Digest after being fitted for a crown. Way too much drilling but thankfully, only one more visit to get the crown proper, and then I'm done.  For now...

I came across this huge metal cockerel close to home. No idea what he was doing there but he was about 10ft tall and looked full of self importance so I kind of liked him.

I dodged between rain and snow to get a bike ride in with the group but coming back home was like driving into a winterland. Snow on the last day of winter.

The first grape hyacinths are coming up. Crazy to think the sun is shining and it's a balmy 65 degrees yet tomorrow evening it will be 30 degrees less with snow falling.

Rode 14 miles after work with the group. Would have liked to have gone for longer and ridden faster, but the daylight was against us.

Avocado, ham, tomatoes and baby kale for dinner, with, of course, wasabi mayo. Mmmmm.

Bill and I visited the huge Bass Pro store near Richmond where I spotted this guy taking a nap in a Cindy chair. Note the fishing rod clutched in his hand!

My first bike ride of the year with a new group. Not too shabby a start at having cycled 22 miles and was glad to also have made a new hiking/cycling buddy.

Had a wonderful meal with Janice and Bill tonight at Nana's. These are our meals, I managed my fish, which was amazing as usual, but couldn't manage all the fries. Will have to work it off tomorrow!

The sunrise glowing through a rail car as the train passed through Marshall.

I passed the Aldie country store last night so stopped this morning for a photo. Not sure if it will be demolished or not but it wouldn't surprise me if it was judging by the reviews below. I went in a couple of times for a tin of cat food or tin of pop and the owner did try to sell me BBQ, but the first time I visited he was having a horrendous argument with his wife which put me off. I stood by the register and had to wait until they were done. The place was a real dive too, I would never have eaten anything 'fresh' from there.

I've seen these huge trailers at Giberts Corner on Rte 15 twice in a week. That's 8 pairs of wheels across the back of each trailer. I found this info about the project Edwards Moving and Rigging is working on: https://www.loudoun.gov/panda

I came across a black vulture tucking into his raccoon tartare. Despite me driving by as slowly as possible he still scarpered but I did see him returning to his feast in my rear view mirror.

Fort Windham Rocks in Shenandoah Park. There was still plenty of snow up here.

About to head up the hill after a night out. The snow is falling and the poor street sign is still missing its nameplate.

Saw this guy on the way to work and the map in his panniers caught my eye, making me wonder if he was an overlander. His bike and outfit was ideal for that, albeit a little too clean and tidy, unless of course, he was just starting out.
