Had a super cool day out with Bill today chasing clouds along the Skyline Drive and then saw this field of day lilies near Bentonville, VA.

New artwork in the side of Nick's Deli and I also spy a new BBQ. A new venture that will have to be sampled soon.

Mine and Stuart's pass to freedom. Stuart was nearly locked away for the night while I was in a bar next door with friends. The garage shutters had been down for a half hour but I snuck under as they opened fr a guy leaving. Some sweet talk to a janitor and I paid $12 instead of the $3 I'd paid on a previous stay.  Still a small price to avoid staying in DC with no change of clothes!

After the 3rd severe storm since Friday my patio plants are still hanging in there, and it looks like a bumper crop will be coming from the tomatoes. Yum!

One of the local farms has all of his gates painted in this light blue. I kinda like it.

It's just been one of those days...

What an honor. My blog on the 611 has been liked by 224 folks so far, and has even fired up a couple to travel down from Detroit to travel on her in Lynchburg this weekend. They won't be disappointed!

June 5 is National Cuddle Your Cat Day. Kota had lots of cuddles but Rosie Lee wasn't too keen on being photographed while having her cuddle.

I've starts hanging bead bits from the branches on the patio, but because of the bad weather all week, I've temporarily  stopped. Will be glad when the rain passes and my beads can start glinting in the sun.

Kota has camped out in the latest box. He looks set for the evening!

A very happy moment for me and the turtle today as I released him back into the pond he probably originally came from. His shell is fully healed from where Stuart clipped him and he was ready to go, his little legs paddling in the air. May he live a long and healthy life.
