In the middle of a busy day kayaking, hitting a winery then grilling and drinking with friends I was stopped in my tracks at a memory garden in Winchester where hundreds of flags were billowing to commemorate those who fell to protect this country. A beautiful and humbling sight.

Went shopping today for the first time in months and saw this display. Can't really believe any Dad would be chugged to receive this get up on Fathers Day!

My latest favorite yoghurt, natural and healthy, and very yummy with a handful of nuts and seeds added.

Looking after Maggi's daughter's dog for a few days. She's mostly an outdoor hound but it's raining out so I've brought her in and she's enjoyed a dinner of scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese. That's 2 dogs I've given this meal to in less than a week!

I've never had much luck before with tomato plants but these organic ones are growing like wildfire and already flowering!

Grabbed a few quick shots of the tulip trees when I got home. These beautiful blooms just aren't around long enough.

I accidentally clipped this little mite on my way home and picked him up. I have to wait until morning to drop him off at Blue Ridge Wildlife Center. I love the way he held my hand as he looked up at me, dear little thing. I'll be waiting at the door with him early tomorrow waiting for the clinic to open.

It was the grand opening weekend of Cooters, a new Dukes of Hazard museum and clothing store in Sperryville, VA. Cooter himself was there signing merchandise.

Taking Buddy to his owners. Found him late last night on a lonely road in WV. He's been an excellent guest, even if Kota and Rosie Lee didn't agree.

Preparing the last flying B-29 bomber, Fifi. She flew 2 flights with passengers today, about 40 minutes for $1500.

Spending a few hours with Steve chatting and listening to Zakk Wylde with some beers after watching Ex Machina which was blah.

Came across a wonderful deal with Legacybox where they will convert 3 of my 30 year old video tapes to digital format for $30 including shipping. It could take a month before I get them back but what a wonderful surprise to look forward too! A couple of music tapes that my and my best friend would watch every Friday while getting ready to go nightclubbing and the other with me passing my final fire brigade exams plus other forgotten snippets. Can't wait!
