Driving through the Shenandoah Valley on the way home.

Had a wonderful afternoon drinking beers and catching up with an old friend, along with another English guy living here in Marshall. Didn't once think of taking a photo so here's one of the beautiful daffodils I bought yesterday catching the last rays of the setting sun.

We had a nice surprise at work when Boss Man brought in his coffee machine which makes lattes and espressos. I wanted to try all of them but settled for 3 powerful espresso shots. Lovely!

I was privileged to be driving behind one of our nation's heroes this afternoon. God bless him and keep him safe. 

Saw this one word on a test print amongst a pile of other shirts in a box at the bottom of the dryer at work. I kind of liked the way it stood out like a subliminal message.

Poor Kota on his first foray round the back of the house this year realizes that the cat flap hasn't been put back in the window yet.

We met 4 intrepid canoe guys at Andy State Park. They had just completed a 4 day trip traveling 32 miles downriver on the Shenandoah from above Luray. That meant they had been paddling through the snow storm on Thursday. I was in awe.

The snow is beautiful but really hoping this will be the last. Looking forward to seeing some buds on the branches.

While 7" of snow fell outside, I made a couple of cat houses from t-shirts, card and metal hangers. Rosie Lee took a while before she ventured inside one but Kota loved them immediately.

Racing to get home before the roads got too bad. Freezing rain was falling fast and I was still about 20 miles from Marshall.

When scraping the ice off Stuart this morning, my kayaking sticker looked like the paddler was pushing his way through frozen waters!
