A bleary view of the road on the way to work. Not sure if the lack of focus was from my eyes or the camera.

I had to stop at Tractor Supply on the way home and get some spray foam to fill the hole where I'd had to kill a wasps nest the day before. Saw this bird feeder and was sorely tempted to buy it until I noticed the bird's tail had broken off, so no go.

Looking through a bag of ice on my knee. What a horrible time for me and my friends, so much bad news at one time.

Mum sent me some Seagull Droppings from Lancashire, England. Most enjoyable!

Saw a beautiful hummingbird moth in my hike today. I was mesmerized and felt very privileged.

I love passing the new Aerospace building, especially on days like today, when dramatic skies look great reflected on its glass wLks.

Mum sent this and I'm flummoxed. Black Jacks used to be tiny chewy rectangles of liquorice whereas this thing is rock hard, not even slightly softened after spending the day in the mailbox in 90 degrees heat. I'll leave it for now, don't want a mouth full of shattered choppers just yet...

Still enjoying my cycling a few miles to and from work. Stood looking at my bike in my office today and thought how much my poor back has been benefiting from these rides.

The first time I've seen a Bugatti in the road. Not usually a big fan of sports cars but I loved this one.

One of my Brit groups sent out a photo of their tea tonight asking if anyone missed this meal? I couldn't wait to get home and cook up the same thing, except I flipped my eggs and had a nice big mug of tea with mine. And my added bonus was that both of my eggs had double yolks!

The beauty if wild flowers. We called this cow parsley in England, not sure of its name here.

Tuesday, July 15, 2014

It was a dark and stormy afternoon in Marshall and the cell phone tower was heavily populated with turkey vultures, spreading their wings out and reminding me of gargoyles on old churches.

Some of the beautiful gladioli that I planted as bulbs a couple of years ago. They've more than doubled their numbers of blooms since their first year of flowering.

The storm's leaning down heavily on Marshall this evening.

This handsome chap struck a pose at PetSmart when I went to buy cat food.

Setting up cameras while waiting for the fireworks at Great Meadows.

Kota Kat chilling out and enjoying being safe and dry while the thunderstorm and rain pound on the roof.

An amazing sky over Meadow House tonight, with a storm rolling around, flashes of lightning, a rainbow and a lovely golden glow everywhere.

The first of the fire flies glows on the meadow announcing the start of the evening's light show.

An art installation at Blandy called 'Walking on Bones', where we held our camera meeting. I wasn't impressed at seeing this in a beautiful arboretum but I'm sure there's plenty who will appreciate it.
