Missed by a couple of minutes I think, and wondered how on earth they ended up hitting the sign, but then I turned the corner and passed another vehicle that had been hit. Luckily no one seemed to be badly hurt.

The last rays of the sun shine on an etched flower of a vase in the window.

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

A view through the kitchen window. We didn't get the multiple inches we'd been expecting but a lot of it has been blown into drifts. It's going to continue through the night and the winds are ferocious. Really living the wood stove tonight.

Monday, January 20, 2014

This beautiful sunset is the calm before the storm as we await snow and freezing temperatures tomorrow. The supermarket in Marshall was like Armgeddan and while we stood in line a firefighter from The Plains told us we were getting 9-11" with the mountains getting over a foot. Gulp!!!!

Thursday, January 16, 2014

I was suddenly aware, after having been back at work for a week, that I didn't have a 2014 calendar, so I quickly knocked one up using my photos of Meadow House and got it printed. I love it!

Sweet breads and veal hearts. Yuk! But I do like a nice kidney or liver. Lots of fresh unprocessed local meats at our IGA, just can't handle these...

Wednesday, January 8, 2014

Using low light and a slow shutter speed on my iPhone to my advantage I twisted the phone around as I took this shot of a piece of fabric. Pretty cool effect!

Tuesday, January 7, 2014

Saw this really cool bear painting at my framer's shop today but there was no way Beth would sell it, so I'm thinking it shouldn't be too hard to copy...

Monday, January 6, 2014

As the temperature drops down to a single digit, Kota Kat and Rosie Lee snuggle deeper into their fluffy fleeces and blankets. Are they spoiled or what?

Sunday, January 5, 2014

A second trip to complete the full exploration of all the buildings at the abandoned hospital in MD.

Saturday, January 4, 2014

Kota Kat spent a lot of today snuggled up in his fleece looking very cute. Aaaw.

Thursday, January 2, 2014

Mum's presents finally arrived but of course they were well worth waiting for. So nice to sit and unwrap them in front of the fire while the snow falls outside and the night falls. This is some of the pretty English wrapping paper but Mum's an avid Sellotape fan so I was unable to save the sheet!
