At Jason's apartment in DC, we sat on the roof and watched the swallow murmuration, as they circled in a large swarm, then as the last light faded, they all dove into the chimney stack for the night.

I stopped to walk around a new park on my way home from work. A really pretty wilderness area with mowed grass pathways. I'll be visiting this little gen regularly.

I received a beautifully wrapped little present from Mum today, and inside was a dear little cat brooch, reminding me a little of Rosie Lee. How lovely!

$6 movie night. Feet up with a beer, chicken tenders and my Daniel Craig in his new movie, Logan Lucky. It was superb.

Wonderful mural on the side of the brewery where I enjoyed some excellent beers after attempting to photograph the solar eclipse.

The famous Weenie Beenie in Shirlibgton which we pass on our bike ride. It's the original store and the last remains of 6, since 2954. This restaurant was even sung about by The Foo Fighters.

Rained out at the local fairground. It ground to a halt pretty quickly.

Fine food and excellent beer at Nana's in Middletown with Steve tonight. Great company too. I was sozzled:). 

I had this pile of used ink cartridges in my office and today put them on EBay. I got $90 for them, maybe a new office chair is on the horizon.

A beautiful misty sunrise this morning along a country road on my way to work.

A local brewery is now using us to print their merchandise since they haven't had success with the last 3. They should have come to us in the first place! But we have them in board now, and I was delighted to be given a sample pack of their beers. 

Saw this in Target and even though it's way too early to be seeing Halloween costumes, I did think this one was pretty cool.

While out cycling today all traffic stopped to allow a young turtle to cross over and head for the river. He was a youngster and crossed in record speed with only a few cheers needed to help him on his way.

Went to the cinema with Steve this afternoon and saw these in the foyer. Not a Minion fan but this scene made me chuckle.

Boss Man slapped this on Jose's back without him knowing, but it was only time before someone let him know. But not before I got the photo though!

I loved this cardinal painting on the window of a pizza joint that Steve and I visited after work.

Mum sent me some Cadbury's Milk Chocolate for my birthday. It had melted a little and my fingers were covered in the delicious goo. Thick and creamy, you can't get chocolate like this here in America. And Kota was outside so I didn't have to share!

Alien tomatoes. A weird webbing effect. Not sure I'd want to eat them if they really looked like this!

Rob got me this gorgeous replica of the Norfolk and Southern 611 train that I loved chasing along the route from Manassas to Front Royal. Love it, thanks Rob!!

Another beautiful sunrise through the trees, this time in Middleburg.

I never tire of this view, just a mile from home. A misty sunrise on my way to work.

I love this sign that's just gone up in Aldie. And love the owner for making it.
